Relevant Work Experience
Special Initiatives Team UX Design & Research Intern October 2024 – Present
In my role as a UX Design & Research Intern on the Special Initiatives Team at BU Spark!, I have the opportunity to work closely with external clients to bring their innovative projects to life. I collaborate with a diverse team of student software engineers, data scientists, and project managers to facilitate client meetings, conduct user research, create project descriptions, and develop prototypes, wireframes, and user journey maps. Additionally, I assist clients in conducting focus groups and gathering user insights, ensuring that the solutions we develop are user-centered and impactful.
Program Coordinator for Enlight Fellowship May 2024 – August 2024
As the Program Coordinator for the Enlight Social Impact Fellowship, a summer entrepreneurial program through Innovate@BU, I designed curriculum and activities focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, social impact, and UX design. I mentored students weekly on their progress through the iterative human-centered design process, guiding participants—many with no prior experience in entrepreneurship or design thinking—as they developed their ventures. By the end of the program, students pitched their ideas to stakeholders, with some even securing funding to bring their innovations to life. Additionally, I managed logistical responsibilities, including organizing schedules, creating surveys, crafting presentations, assembling materials, maintaining spreadsheets, planning events, and facilitating communication to ensure the program's success.
Office Assistant/Innovation Ambassador September 2023 – Present
As an Office Assistant at Innovate@BU, Boston University's hub for innovation and entrepreneurship, I welcome guests, host events such as elevator pitch competitions, and provide tours for prospective students and their families. In this role, I serve as the first point of contact for visitors, fostering a welcoming and professional environment. Additionally, I handle various office duties to support daily operations and contributed to Innovate@BU’s mission of inspiring innovation and entrepreneurial thinking across the university community.
Business Intern June 2023 – August 2023
As a Business Intern at Brighton Main Streets, a nonprofit in Massachusetts, I conducted comprehensive user research on 150 small businesses in Brighton, gathering both quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities for growth and development. I analyzed this data to assess the needs and challenges of these businesses, providing actionable recommendations and resources to support their success. I also worked with the Allston Brighton Health Collaborative to serve the community and collect demographical information. Additionally, I collaborated with a diverse team and attended workshops through the Harvard Ed Portal, gaining valuable insights into the essential operations of nonprofit organizations and contributing to initiatives that foster economic vitality in the community.
Enlight Social Impact Summer Incubator Participant June 2023 – August 2023
As a participant in a prestigious 8-week summer incubator program, I developed expertise in social entrepreneurship, design thinking, and business strategy. I successfully conceptualized, designed, and prototyped “Market Meals,” a social venture aimed at empowering low-income immigrant seniors in Brighton, MA. The initiative provided culturally relevant, easy-to-follow recipes using ingredients from the Allston Brighton Health Collaborative farm share and the Brighton Farmers Market. Leveraging the iterative design process, I worked to address food accessibility and promote healthy eating within the community. I created a functional prototype that I was able to test on the users. In turn, they provided me with feedback.
